George Calmese Jr., aged 38, tragically lost his life on August 8, 2016, in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred during a funeral service for his cousin, Thelma Calmese. A family argument over child custody escalated into violence when a man attempted to leave the funeral home with his 5-year-old daughter, one of Thelma Calmese's surviving children. George Calmese Jr. intervened in the situation, which led to his untimely death.
