On the evening of September 14, 2024, Kirsten LaShawn Phillips, a 41-year-old resident of Gaffney, South Carolina, was fatally shot following an argument outside the Limestone Courts Apartments on Limestone Street. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m., and Phillips sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
