On September 15, 2024, at approximately 3:30 a.m., a shooting occurred in the 900 block of Center Street in West Columbia, South Carolina. Among the victims was 29-year-old Alvin Davonte McDaniel Jr. of Winnsboro, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
