On September 23, 2024, 38-year-old Katie Sullivan was fatally shot in her residence on Keenan Avenue in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Deputies from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office responded to a neighbor's report of a domestic disturbance accompanied by gunshots. Upon arrival, they observed signs of a struggle and, upon entering the home, discovered Sullivan deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
