On the evening of September 27, 2024, Nicolas Long, 22, of Greenville, South Carolina, was fatally shot in a wooded area near Woodruff. Authorities responded to reports of multiple shootings around 8:00 PM at 115 Griffin Road, where they discovered three deceased individuals, including Long, and learned of a fourth victim who had been transported to a Simpsonville hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
