On September 27, 2024, Jeremy Faulkner, 34, of Woodruff, South Carolina, was tragically killed in a shooting incident stemming from a dispute over hunting land. The confrontation occurred around 8:00 PM near Griffin Road, where Faulkner and his companions encountered two individuals. An argument ensued over permission to use the hunting area, escalating when one of the men brandished a firearm. Despite pleas to avoid violence, the situation deteriorated, leading to a fatal exchange of gunfire.
