On a tragic day in Jackson, Mississippi, a young man's life was cut short in a brazen act of violence. Steven Nichols, a 31-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on January 11, 2023, at an Exxon gas station located on Interstate 55 North. He and another man, 32-year-old Christopher Oliver, were sitting inside a white pickup truck when they were ambushed by multiple assailants who unleashed a hail of gunfire upon them.
