On June 23, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Jackson police responded to a shooting incident on Watkins Drive near Interstate 220. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims inside a vehicle: a 23-year-old man who had sustained a single gunshot wound, and 26-year-old Jaaziel Jones, who had been shot multiple times.
