In the summer of 2023, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace of a Jackson, Mississippi evening, tragically ending the life of 26-year-old Jaaziel Jones. On June 23rd, Jones was inside a vehicle when unknown assailants opened fire, striking him and injuring another individual. The violent act left a community reeling and a family mourning the sudden loss of a young man.
