On July 20, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Kosciusko, Mississippi, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Jamel Davis. The incident took place in the 500 block of West Adams Street. Davis, a resident of Kosciusko, was shot and later succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.
