In the early morning hours of July 20, 2023, a residence in the 500 block of West Adams Street in Kosciusko, Mississippi, became the scene of a fatal shooting. Jamel Davis, a 21-year-old Black male, was shot and subsequently transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Attala for his injuries. Tragically, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
