In the late summer of 2023, a life was tragically cut short on a street in Jackson, Mississippi. Willie Morris, a 38-year-old Black male, became the victim of a fatal shooting on the evening of Tuesday, August 29th. The incident, which unfolded in the 5400 block of Gault Street, left another individual, a 23-year-old woman, in critical condition with a gunshot wound.
