On September 3, 2023, 60-year-old Douglas “Dougie” Joseph Arguelles was found severely injured in his home on Waltman Road in Vancleave, Mississippi. Before succumbing to his injuries at a local hospital, Arguelles identified his stepson, 30-year-old Aaron Blake Haylock, as the assailant.
