Murdered

On December 7, 2023, 31-year-old Keenan Draper was fatally shot at the Corner Store, located at the intersection of Vance Street and Pearson Street in Batesville, Mississippi. The incident occurred mid-morning when Draper parked his vehicle near the store's entrance, leaving it running, presumably to make a quick purchase. Shortly after he entered the store, an assailant followed him inside and opened fire, striking Draper multiple times. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
