In the late summer of 2017, the life of 45-year-old Joya Chester was tragically cut short, leaving a community in search of answers that have yet to come. On August 3rd of that year, Chester was discovered inside a residence on White City Road in what was then College Park, a part of present-day South Fulton, Georgia. She had sustained severe head injuries, and though she was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital for medical attention, she succumbed to her wounds eight days later on August 11th.
