Lameshia Norman, a woman, was shot and killed late on August 21, 2026, during what South Fulton police described as a dispute involving a weapon at a home in the 5400 block of Keyhaven Place in South Fulton, Georgia. Officers were dispatched to the residence shortly before midnight after authorities received a report that a confrontation involving a weapon was underway.
When officers arrived, they found Norman suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel responded, but her injuries were fatal, and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The residence became an active homicide scene as detectives and crime scene investigators began documenting evidence and trying to reconstruct what had happened in the moments leading up to the shooting.
Investigators identified 40-year-old Domina Brown as the suspect in Norman’s killing. Brown was taken into custody and booked into the Fulton County Jail on August 22, the day after the shooting.
She was charged with murder as well as possession of a firearm or knife during the commission or attempted commission of certain felonies. The charges formally accused Brown of responsibility for the fatal shooting, although the allegations had not yet been resolved in court.
Authorities have disclosed relatively little about the confrontation itself. Police described the incident as a dispute but had not publicly explained what started it, what occurred between the two women before the gunfire, or whether anyone else was present when Norman was shot. Investigators also had not disclosed the nature of the relationship between Norman and Brown or announced a specific motive.
The South Fulton Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division continued investigating the killing with assistance from crime scene personnel. As of August 24, police had not announced additional suspects or arrests, and no information had been released indicating that another person would face charges. Brown remained the person charged in connection with Norman’s death.
Because the case was only days old, there had been no reported trial or conviction. Brown’s murder and weapons charges represented allegations that would have to proceed through the criminal court system, where prosecutors would be required to prove the charges. Investigators, meanwhile, continued working to establish the complete sequence of events behind the dispute that ended with Norman fatally shot inside the Keyhaven Place home.
