On January 26, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., 23-year-old Devaun Johnson was fatally shot while inside a black Lexus on Ellis Avenue near Highway 80 in Jackson, Mississippi. A female passenger, whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Following the incident, the Jackson Police Department identified 24-year-old Syhee Phillips as the primary suspect. Phillips allegedly drove alongside Johnson's vehicle and opened fire. ...Read More
