In the spring of 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening calm on Medgar Evers Boulevard in Jackson, Mississippi, leaving a family devastated and a community searching for answers. On April 21st, 34-year-old Taboris Jefferson, a Black male, was driving near Coleman Avenue when he was fatally shot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
