In the small community of Lexington, Mississippi, the life of 36-year-old Jamarcus Lidell Smith, a Black male, was cut short on the evening of June 2, 2024. Smith was inside his vehicle in the Schoolhouse Bottom area of town when he was fatally shot multiple times.
