In the early morning hours of June 9, 2024, the life of 39-year-old Kennoris Cortez Stigler, a Black male, was cut short by gunfire in Greenwood, Mississippi. Around 2 a.m., officers from the Greenwood Police Department were dispatched to the vicinity of McLean Street after receiving reports of shots being fired. Their investigation led them to Madison Avenue, where they discovered Stigler suffering from gunshot wounds.
