John E. Davis, a 73-year-old Black male, was tragically killed on August 22, 2024, in a shooting that also left his wife critically injured in Meridian, Mississippi. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of 37th Avenue. Both Davis and his wife, 66-year-old Emma J. Davis, sustained gunshot injuries.
