On the afternoon of January 2, 2023, Marquise Cortez Hall, a 31-year-old male, was fatally shot on Blackington Avenue in Flint, Michigan, marking the city's first homicide of the year. The shooting occurred just before 4 p.m., and Hall was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
