On March 6, 2023, 34-year-old Leroy Mitchell was found fatally shot inside his vehicle on Detroit's east side. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. in the 2000 block of McPherson near Goddard. Mitchell, a father of eight, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
