In the early morning hours of June 5, 2023, a dispute over a beef jerky product at a Mobil gas station in Detroit, Michigan, escalated into a fatal encounter for 25-year-old Anthony McNary. The incident, which occurred at approximately 3:05 a.m. at the station on Vernor Highway, involved McNary and the gas station clerk, Moad Mohamed Al-Gaham, who was 40 years old at the time.
