On August 17, 2023, 18-year-old Paul Anthony Pearson was fatally shot in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Burton Street SW. Pearson was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries but unfortunately succumbed to them shortly thereafter. The Kent County Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide.
