In the autumn of 2023, the life of 38-year-old Carrie Kartaveta Golidy, a Black/African American mother of three from Muskegon, Michigan, was tragically cut short. On the afternoon of October 30th, gunfire erupted on Howden Street in Muskegon Heights. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Golidy with gunshot wounds. She was rushed to a local hospital for medical attention.
