Xavion Demontae Hopkins, a 30-year-old male, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, in Saginaw, Michigan. His death was the result of a shooting that occurred at an apartment in Buena Vista Township.

An altercation between Hopkins and a friend, 30-year-old Timothy Holden, escalated, leading to Holden fatally shooting Hopkins. Investigators reported that the two men were involved in a fight prior to the shooting. Holden's legal counsel asserted that the act was in self-defense.
