Xavion Demontae Hopkins, a 30-year-old male, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, in Saginaw, Michigan. His death was the result of a shooting that occurred at an apartment in Buena Vista Township.
An altercation between Hopkins and a friend, 30-year-old Timothy Holden, escalated, leading to Holden fatally shooting Hopkins. Investigators reported that the two men were involved in a fight prior to the shooting. Holden's legal counsel asserted that the act was in self-defense.
Following an investigation into the incident, Timothy Holden was arrested and stood trial for the death of Xavion Hopkins. A jury found Holden guilty of second-degree murder and other related charges. Consequently, he was sentenced to serve a prison term of 10 to 25 years for his role in Hopkins's death.
