On February 11, 2024, 30-year-old Xavion Demontae Hopkins of Saginaw, Michigan, was fatally shot during an altercation at the Crossings apartment complex in Buena Vista Township. Hopkins had gone to the residence of his former roommate, 29-year-old Timothy Holden Jr., to address an ongoing dispute.
