On June 15, 2024, a tragic incident unfolded in Jackson, Michigan, resulting in the death of 35-year-old Sherrod Slayton. The Jackson Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of Elizabeth Street at approximately 2:51 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Slayton's body in a parking lot at 651 Elizabeth Street.
