In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Jackson, Michigan, the life of 35-year-old Sherrod Slayton was tragically cut short. On June 15, 2024, at approximately 2:51 a.m., police responded to a call of a shooting in the 600 block of Elizabeth Street. Arriving at the scene, officers found Slayton in a parking lot with a gunshot wound to his head. Despite the immediate response from medical personnel, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
