In the early morning hours of the Fourth of July, 2024, Jaret Mays, a 35-year-old man, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Peachtree Apartments in Clinton Township, Michigan. Police responded to reports of shots fired around 11 a.m. and discovered Mays with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head.

Mays, a father of seven, was a multifaceted individual, described by his family as a man of many talents. He was a nurse by trade, worked at Chrysler, and was an entrepreneur, ...
