In the early morning hours of the Fourth of July, 2024, Jaret Mays, a 35-year-old man, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Peachtree Apartments in Clinton Township, Michigan. Police responded to reports of shots fired around 11 a.m. and discovered Mays with multiple gunshot wounds, including one to the head.
