In the summer of 2024, a burst of violence in Saginaw Township claimed the life of 24-year-old Dennis Mayes Jr. On the night of July 10th, Mayes was with two teenagers on Mackinaw Road when gunfire erupted. The Saginaw Township Police Department responded to the scene to find a chaotic situation with three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
