In the late hours of a Wednesday evening, 26-year-old Cynthia Platt, a White female, was working her shift as an armed security guard at an industrial park off Monroe Boulevard in Taylor, Michigan. On that night, October 9, 2024, her life was cut short by a fatal gunshot. The initial call to 911, made by her boyfriend, reported that she had taken her own life.
