On February 13, 2023, Amonte Martez Green, a 23-year-old from Waldorf, Maryland, was fatally shot in a violent incident that also claimed the life of another young man. The shooting occurred on Shelton Court in Indian Head and involved a total of three victims. After the shooting, the injured men attempted to flee in a vehicle but were later found by law enforcement along Route 210 and Laurel Drive.
