In the spring of 2023, the life of 22-year-old Jeffery Lamont Brooks, Jr. was tragically cut short in what began as a dispute over a small amount of money. A lifelong resident of Baltimore, Maryland, and a U.S. Army Reservist, Jeffery was described by his family as a hardworking man with his whole life ahead of him, including plans to marry and advance his career. He was born on January 19, 2001, to Jacqueline and Jeffrey Lamont Brooks, Sr.
