On March 28, 2023, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Prince George's County Police officers responded to a shooting in the 600 block of Drum Avenue in Capitol Heights, Maryland. Upon arrival, they found 62-year-old Lidia Chinchilla De Carrillo of El Salvador suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
