On May 5, 2023, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 6800 block of Elsrode Avenue. Upon arrival, they found 29-year-old Isaiah Keith Benjamin Jr. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries the following day, May 6, 2023.
