On May 10, 2023, at approximately 8:35 p.m., Baltimore police officers responded to a shooting in the 4500 block of Wakefield Road. Upon arrival, they found 29-year-old Darren Lamar Shipley suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Shipley was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
