On May 30, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Elkridge, Maryland, resulting in the death of 57-year-old Syeda Aalia Nayyar. The event unfolded just before 10 p.m. when Howard County police received multiple 911 calls from neighbors reporting gunshots in the area of the 6900 block of Norwood Ferry.
