On September 13, 2024, at approximately 9:50 p.m., deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting at the intersection of Midway Drive and Wasp Drive in Lexington Park, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 18-year-old Jovan William Medley suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
