On October 27, 2024, at approximately 2:05 p.m., Baltimore County Police officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 16-year-old Nelson Dariel Peña Martínez suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
