Jan Metzig, 71, and her husband David Metzig, 72, were found dead on March 18, 2023, in their home in Wolf River, Wisconsin. The couple, who owned and operated the Union Star Cheese Factory in Fremont for over three decades, had both suffered fatal gunshot wounds. Their bodies were discovered around 5:15 a.m. when authorities conducted a welfare check at their residence.
