Yediael Y. Backstrom, a 26-year-old Black / African American male, was fatally shot in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on August 14, 2023. Known for his infectious smile and compassionate spirit, his sudden death left a void in the hearts of his family and community. A father of four, Yediael was born on February 21, 1997, to Dale Backstrom and Janene Thomas. He was a student at both South Division High School and Vincent High School in Milwaukee.
