Davattah Brown, aged 37, was found dead on July 5, 1999, in Gainesville, Florida. Her body was discovered in the passenger seat of her silver 1998 Suzuki Esteem, which was parked in the southwest corner of the parking lot at the Sunset Apartments on NW 12th Street. Brown had been shot, and her death was ruled a homicide. She was last seen on Friday, July 2, 1999, as she left her residence on her way to work.
