In the midst of a Milwaukee afternoon on January 30, 2024, the life of Malik S. Brooks, a 24-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. Brooks was driving near the intersection of 41st Street and Florist Avenue when he was struck by gunfire. The impact of the shooting caused him to lose control of his vehicle, which then crashed into a parked car and a tree.
