In the evening hours of a spring day in Oklahoma City, tragedy struck a young man named Monterio Andrews. On Saturday, May 20, 2023, the 18-year-old Black male was at a residence located at 1325 Bellevidere Drive in the northeastern part of the city. An altercation erupted within the home, escalating to the point of gunfire.

Andrews was shot during the dispute. Emergency services were called to the scene, and he was quickly transported to OU Medical Center in an attempt to save his life. ...
