In the winter of 2023, the life of 29-year-old Gabriel Ruiz was tragically cut short in an act of violence that unfolded in an Oklahoma City motel. A Hispanic male, Gabriel was discovered on the morning of December 6th in a room at a motel located on the south side of the city. He had been fatally shot, marking the city's 71st homicide of the year. The initial discovery was made by motel staff, who then alerted the Oklahoma City Police Department.
