It is believed that Arthur Wayne Haas's own grandson, 26-year-old Jacob Haas, was the perpetrator of the violence. Before taking his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Jacob Haas fatally shot his grandfather, Arthur. Also among the victims were Jacob's 21-year-old brother, Jared Shawn Haas-Upky, and his 55-year-old aunt, Ange Adkins.
