In the city of Tacoma, Washington, a mother's life was tragically cut short, leaving a family and community in mourning. Tamrah Dickman, a 39-year-old Black/African American woman, was found with multiple gunshot wounds on January 28, 2024. The Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed that her death was a homicide resulting from these injuries.
The discovery was made near the 1700 block of 61st Street, where the grim reality of the situation began to unfold.
Dickman, born on July 25, 1984, was a mother to five children. Her parents, Maran and Charles Humphrey, had raised her in the Tacoma area, never imagining her life would end in such a violent manner.
On the same day that Tamrah Dickman's body was found, law enforcement officials made an arrest in connection with her death. A 42-year-old man was taken into custody as a suspect in the homicide. Prosecutors have since brought charges against him for his alleged role in the killing.
