Brent Donayre Parrilla, a 39-year-old male, was fatally shot in the early morning hours of March 13, 2024, at an Arco gas station located at the corner of Aurora Avenue North and North 105th Street in Seattle, Washington. The incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m., and Parrilla was pronounced dead at the scene. Born on July 18, 1984, in Quezon City, Philippines, Brent was known to his friends and family as a kind-hearted and adventurous individual.
He had a passion for cars and sports,
particularly swimming and basketball. Parrilla attended several local high schools, including Cleveland, Ingraham, and Mountlake Terrace, and later pursued auto mechanics at Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Over the years, he worked at various places, including McDonald's, Gap, UPS, and the University of Washington Medical Center Cafeteria. He was described as someone who would accept anyone with an open heart.
In connection with the fatal shooting, a 31-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into the King County Jail. The arrest was made on a Friday following the Wednesday morning incident. While an arrest has been made, the circumstances that led to the shooting have not been publicly released. Brent is survived by his father, stepmother, and sister. His mother predeceased him. Memorial services were held for him later in March.
