In the unincorporated area of Auburn, Washington, a tragic event unfolded on the evening of July 18, 2024, ending the life of 15-year-old Giovanni Brown. The young male's life was cut short by multiple gunshot wounds in what the King County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled a homicide. At approximately 6:32 p.m., the King County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting the sound of gunshots in the 28700 block of 34th Avenue South.
Upon their arrival at the residence, deputies
discovered Giovanni lying on the ground. They immediately began to administer CPR and first aid until fire department personnel arrived and took over life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, the first responders were unable to revive the teenager, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The area was quickly secured, and the King County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit began their investigation, collecting evidence for several hours.
In the days following the fatal shooting, authorities had not identified any suspects or a possible motive for the crime, and no arrests had been made. The investigation into Giovanni's death remains ongoing as law enforcement appeals to the public for any information that could help them identify and apprehend the person or people responsible.
