On what was supposed to be a fun weekend trip to Tacoma, Washington, 27-year-old Hispanic male Hector Gonzalez Jimenez of Eagle Creek, Oregon, tragically lost his life on Sunday, August 25, 2024. His death, which occurred inside a Holiday Inn in the 2100 block of South C Street, has since been ruled a homicide by the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office, with the cause of death being a gunshot wound to the chest.
