On November 8, 2024, a tragic shooting occurred at a Safeway store on Nob Hill Boulevard in Yakima, Washington, resulting in the deaths of 18-year-old Emmanuel Santos and 20-year-old Aaron Lamas. The incident took place around 6:30 PM when Yakima Police responded to reports of gunfire at the location.
