On July 12, 2023, at approximately 4:49 PM, Columbus Police Patrol officers responded to a report of a shooting at 2206 McGuffey Road in Columbus, Ohio. Upon arrival, they found 30-year-old Derrius Morgan suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Morgan was rushed to Grant Medical Center in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
